Two Upcoming Screenings

Great news! Carving Up Oconee will be screening at two film festivals this month.

The first one is the Macon Film Festival (MaGa), in Macon, Georgia, which runs from Feb. 18th-Feb. 21st.  It will screen twice:  Thursday, Feb. 18th, at 8 p.m., at the Macon Marriott City Center and Saturday, Feb. 20th, at 4:00 p.m. at the Douglass Center, a historic theater in downtown Macon. A Q&A session with the filmmaker will follow each screening.  For tickets and directions, visit the website at http://www.maconfilmfestival.com/.

The second film festival is the Amelia Island Film Festival, which runs from Feb. 25-March 1.  The film will be showing on Sunday, February 28th, at 3:00 p.m. The location will be “Indigo Alley” on Centre Street on Amelia Island.  A Q&A with the filmmaker will follow. Carving Up Oconee at Ecofocus!

 

Carving Up Oconee has been chosen for screening at the University of Georgia’s EcoFocus Film Festival.  Screening times are as follows:

 

Saturday, October 25, 2008, at 3:00 p.m.  A panel discussion will follow the film.

Sunday, October 26, 2008, at 8:15 p.m.  A question-and-answer period will follow the film.

 

The EcoFocus Film Festival will be held at Ciné, a new art-house cinema in historic downtown Athens, Georgia.  Ciné is located at 234 West Hancock Avenue between Pulaski and Hull Streets in the old Snow Tire Recap Plant building.  Ticket information can be obtained from the festival website at: www.ecofocusfilmfest.org/festival/tickets.htm
